The Sea Wall

The sea crashes into the sea wall along Havana harbour

We were at Parque Historico Miltar Morro-Cabana as part of our tour. The only non-water way to get to the park is through the harbour tunnel. It was interesting to wander along the area, but I found the view far more interesting.
I could watch the sea all day.

Here's the sea wall again, but from the city. The military park is in the background.

This is a pedestrian way in Old Havana from near the Havana Plaza down to the sea wall. It made a lovely walk.

Looks lovely, cousin! I love watching the sea, too, but methinks I wouldn't be able to take the heat and humidity that you mentioned to me.

It was lovely, but the heat/humidity was draining.

What great pictures. Havana...makes me think of the 50s for some reason.

Beautiful, I too could watch the sea all day. Heat & humidity though...not so much.

Mary, with all the cars from the 1950s rolling around Cuba it's hard not to think that way.

Reb, a bit of humidity is fine, but when it mixes with heat...killer.

Another person who loves to watch the sea.

Only 3 1/2 months until I get to do so.

Beautiful images, Leah. I don't mind heat and humidity.. I'm good to go. ;)

Thanks, Hilary. If you like heat and humidity, you'll love Cuba.

Waves crashing in on a sea wall would be my cup of tea, though the heat and humidity would be too much for me. Toronto has it in the summer and I wish for more temperate climes.

The part about being at sea level is great, but the heat and humidity are a bit much.
