"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
Bright, sunny days in the mountains are wonderful, but rain and snow bring a texture to the world around us not found any other way. Above, low clouds with a smattering of rain cast a moodiness to Abraham Lake.
Low lying clouds in the mountains have their own charm. Sometimes they bring rain or snow, and other times the sun burns it off slowly while providing little peaks at the trees and crags.
dfLeah - not sure how I missed this... Wonderful picture! And, ya know, our ancestors came from Maine, way back when, and I would love to visit there, too! Perhaps a road trip is in our future!

Still beautiful though. Reminds me of Maine here in the US.
Yes, it is. I've never seen Maine. You've made me want to now.
It's beautiful. I bet it would make good wallpaper for your computer screen.
You have the best photos. I always feel as if I'm on vacation when I visit your site.

Thanks, Bunnygirl. Some moody day I just might do that.
Mary, thank you. I'm glad you're enjoying the place.

Maine is lovely, Leah. You ought to visit it in late summer.
They sure do, Barbara. It's all good.
Wow.. what a beautiful spot!
It sure is, Hilary. I am so grateful that I live so close to it.
I love the mountains, but get cold so easily that I can't imagine living in a mountainous area year round.
I'm not above visiting them, and would love to see this place in person someday.
Messymimi, if you were in the neighbourhood I would personally take you on a tour of the mountains.
