My Rocky Mountain House Anniversary

The Bighorn Highway in autumn.
Today marks 23 years since I moved to Rocky Mountain House.
I moved here for work. It was a good move as I met my husband here and stayed.
Every place has its faults. We can spend all day complaining about what is wrong, or we can flip it over and tickle its tummy. When we do that we realize something important that we may not have considered earlier.
For all the bad things people can say about where they live it must be noted that we are where we are due to our choices.
I made good choices.

Wow! Time certainly flies. It doesn't feel like all that long ago that we lived a lot closer together, and spent some "quality" time together!
Congratulations on your Rocky anniversary. :)

Bag Lady, it does. I remember those great days very well. Better than I recall stuff from this morning or 10 minutes ago in many cases.
Thanks.

Over two decades and no home or house is perfect. We must all accept that and find that we like where we seem to fit the best.

Happy Homecoming Anniversary -- because it was homecoming, even if you didn't realize it at the time.

Reb, it's hard to believe it's been that long. Thanks re: pic.

Tabor, so true.

Messymimi, thank you. That's exactly what it was.

So many folks just "end up" somewhere and don't consciously choose their environment or get to appreciate it each day. Congrats on finding such a great spot and celebrating all the things there are to love about it!

Thank you, Crabby. It's sad when people don't like where they are.
