Fort Assiniboine constructed a fort many long years ago. It includes a community meeting centre and a museum.
Outside it the worlds largest wagon wheel and pick has been put up as a tourist attraction.
The photo looks toward the north and west toward the school and the edge of town.

Whew! That's Paul Bunyan size!
Aye. We mean business, David.
Good shot, cousin. And lovely to see the green grass!
Thank you, cousin. My pleasure.
Always fun to see someone's home town.
Happy Friday the 13th to you too, Leah.
I loved this picture and was amazed at the size of this wagon wheel.
That is huge! While it would be amazing to see the size of wagon that would need such a wheel, it would be equally amazing to see how many horses it would take to pull it!
Very fun picture.
Thanks, Hilary.
Carol, thank you.
Messymimi, aye. I don't want to think about the wagon or horses.
A wheel like that would have been beneficial in long distances, though the iron rim would take a bit more to heat in the forge.
It surely would, Barbara.
