Gratitude Monday -- That New Bike Smell

I got a new mountain bicycle on the weekend.
It's a Rocky Mountain Fusion with 29" wheels and 27 speeds.
Gears change with a click rather than the turn of a wrist like I've been used to. It's easier, but I have to adjust to which lever is up and which is down.
The seat goes back and forth as well as up and down and the handlebars can be adjusted to turn away or turn toward me.
The finer adjustments will take time and all of this is quite new to me.  The bike is several steps up to what I'm used to, but it is fun to find out the proper setting.
Right now I have a new bike and I am grateful.

Great investment for summer fun. Where are you going on your first adventure?

It'll mostly be around town, and maybe the trails to and around some local lakes, Hilary. But I will probably say something enthusiastic about them when it happens.

Tabor, probably around Crimson Lake, not sure yet, and I don't know when I'll be able to get to it.

Sounds wonderful. I was thinking just this afternoon "I should see about getting a bike" (which I haven't had since childhood) and here you are to motivate me. :)

Nice on the new bike! I am scared to ride a bike outside, so stationary is it for me.

I am grateful that I get to see my son, his girlfriend and their cat tomorrow!

Happy trails on your new ride!

Bikes are great, and one can always be grateful when they take it out for a spin.

Messymimi, this bike is the most fun one ever.

Mary Anne, do it and have a blast.

Thanks, Kimberley. Stationary bikes are great, too. Enjoy your visit.

Barbara, so very true.
