"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
This happy little lagomorph is a pika.
We found it and another on Rock Glacier, Kananaskis, Ab. on our day trip last Sunday.
Pikas are very hard to see against the rocks as they blend right in.

Hard to see, indeed. Even after you picked him out for me, it took a second for him to come in focus.

They hide in plain sight better than anything.
Beautiful little critter! Good catch.
Thanks, Messymimi.
Could he possibly be any cuter?
So, a lagomorph.. is it related to rabbits?
Great post title, by the way.
Hilary, they are adorable.
Yep, same family. In fact, there's an info sign on the glacier calling them rock rabbits.
Thanks re:post title.
