"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)

My first, entirely frivolous, thought: He doesn't need a reason; he isn't a chicken.
Good capture!

I kept hearing grouse in the bushes on our hike yesterday, but I don't see them. I think your grouse was out visiting the neighbors. :-)
J love those heart stopping moments, which are so much better when you have camera in hand and can actually review what you saw happen so rapidly.
Thanks, Mary Anne.
I bet you're right, DJan.
Tabor, it is good when there's a photo to remind one.
Hahaha…"he doesn't need a reason he; isn't a chicken"…LOL!
Just grousing around I guess. Friday frivolity!!!
And maybe the chicken is tired of having its motives questioned.
Anyway, nice shot of a grouse crossing the road, where i'm sure it had business to attend.
