Gratitude Monday -- Blog Buddies

With Blog Buddies you'll never stand alone.

Whether you comment or not, I know you’ve been by and it makes me happy. It means people have taken the time to read what I write and that’s gratifying.
It’s a thrill, still, to check in and see who’s been by and what she or he’s had to say.

It’s conversation. It’s a daily visit with friends that I may never see in person. Much as I’d love to meet each of you, I know it’s unlikely to ever happen. I’m content know that the words I post touch you in some way and you care enough to say so.

It reminds me of the coffee crowd at the local cafes. You know the ones I mean. They meet each day, sometimes twice a day, to settle the affairs of the world and have a laugh.

Blog buddies are the coffee crowd of a different generation. We don’t have to leave the house to visit with our friends though it may be healthier in the long run. With the Internet we don’t have to our homes to visit the world and spend time with friends. Some days that is the best option.

Friends stop by here and I go to their corners of the blogosphere. We have a visit or a rant or laugh. It’s good and good for us and I’m grateful for the opportunity.

Oh, you are so right about blog buddies. Some days blogging is the only thing that keeps the Bag Lady sane... well, as close to sane as she gets!

What a good post Leah! You are so right, some days it makes the difference between tearing someone a new orifice, or just ignoring their particular brand of stupid.

df Leah,

You are so right. As a writer I spend way too much time at the computer and if I didn't take a minute to fly by my blogger pals, even when I don't have time to say hello, it turns into a very cranky day for me.

Bag lady and I had this conversation by email when I was computerless for a while in Florida.

Make a cup of tea and visit a blog or two. It's a perfect writers break!

Terrie

I agree totally. It's a good feeling to know that some people relate to what you've posted and take the time to say so.

Your words really strike home for me, Leah. I feel as if I have more in common with my 'blog buddies' than I do with most of the folk I meet in real life.

dfBag Lady, Reb, dfTerrie, Hilary, and Dawn - Thanks you so much for your comments. I'm glad my words touched you and it's heartwarming to read post after post that start by telling me I'm right.

I'm sorry I wasn't around to greet each of you individually. I made the mistake of clicking on a link on the top comment here when I should have deleted. It led to a virus so I had to get things sorted out in the shop.
Dubbing it "evil" was the polite choice.

Bloody b*stards!! Glad you got it sorted out. What did the link say so if it shows up anywhere else, we'll know not to click on it?
