Gratitude Monday - Changing Seasons Edition

Pussy Willows at Jackfish Lake.

We've had some wonderfully warm weather lately. These warm, bright, sunny days and cold, clear nights have led to a crispy crust on the snow and that makes it easy to walk on.

I'm grateful to feel the strengthening sun on my face, the hard crust on the snow, and I'm grateful for the pussy willows giving us a sign of the spring to come.

They are cheery, aren't they, dfBag Lady?

It's been glorious weather here in California these past few days--we do, even here, get some indication of seasons changing. Lots of flowers and birds chirping and sunshine and whatnot.

We're moving to New England in a couple of weeks--I suspect spring is going to be quite a bit chillier! But no less welcome.

Love the picture!

Ahh, sunshine and whatnot. My favourite parts of spring. And birds. The birds will be back.

Crabby, I'm sure you'll love the New England spring. Best of luck with the move.

df Leah,

Goergeous picture!

As some one who just got back from 80 degree Florida to 40 degree New York, I am happy to be home and I am so grateful for the crisp and the cold. We don't have any snow but there was a small puddle of ice by my car yesterday! hooray!
I love awaiting the beginning of Spring.

dfTerrie - I'm happy you like the photo.
And good for you for being able to celebrate the changes in temperature and season and to appreciate a puddle of ice.

Love the photo. We have definite seasons here in NZ and I enjoy moving from one to the next. I don't think I'd like to live where it stays the same all year round.

Leah J. Utas said...

I agree,Dawn. I like to see the change in the world around me.

Love the photo. I heard geese yesterday, but I am not sure they weren't the ones that live here year round. I like to think they are the ones that went south for the winter.

Thanks, Reb. Mike saw some geese a few days ago and they were returnees. I bet yours were, too.
