Photo-Finish Friday --The Trogons in the Tree

The Trogon is the national bird of Cuba.

We saw some Trogons on our trip to Cuba. We'd been on a hike for most of the morning and were resting from having just climbed the steepest portion of the trail when we saw them.
There are two in the tree although the second one, under the first, doesn't show up well.

Lovely photo, cousin! What kind of bird is it, do you know?

Yeep. Thought I sent this to post waiting.

Cool! I'll bet it was a thrill to see them. So different from what we have around here. They're very colourful birds.

Hilary, it was a real treat.

The animals of new places are as fascinating as the people. Thanks for sharing your memories with us.

Beautiful photo -- and such lovely and fascinating birds.

If you don't mind I am going to start doing Photo-Finish-Friday over at my blog if you're ok with that. Of course, I will link to your site. Is there any rules or guidelines for PFF?

Messymimi, I am so glad you are enjoying this.

Thomma Lyn, thank you. I think you would have really enjoyed the hike we were on when we saw them.

David, I think that's wonderful and I am thrilled. I don't know about a hard and fast rule, but I try to make it something interesting that can stand on its own without too much explanation. If I had to make a rule for it, it would be have fun with it.
