"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
We're always talking about (aboot?) moving there someday. Only problem for us, as spoiled Californians, is the weather.
But the beauty, the people, the overall sensible politics of the place compared to the US...
Plus, where else do you have a public radio station with a phone number like 1-800-SAD-GOAT? (I may be remembering that wrong, but it always tickled us when we'd hear it on our travels).
Dawn, if you mean "Red Deer" that could well be where it comes up. I'm 50 miles west of that in a place called Rocky Mountain House. I never tire of the mountains. I'm glad you took the opportunity to see them.
Hey Crabby, I didn't know about SAD GOAT radio. I'm sure you could adjust to our weather.

Would you be the person that shows in my stats with the interesting animal type town name? That name always catches my eye.
