| Smoke and pollution greet the morning in Cairo. |
On this Monday I am grateful for a great many things, mostly being home.
I'll narrow things down. We are blessed to have clean, fresh air in this country.
Cairo is noisy and polluted and this time of year the farmers are burning the cane fields.
The haze may lift in the afternoons, but I can't say that I ever felt clean there.
I'm so glad to have the clean, country air in my lungs again.

We tend to forget how good we have it here.. unless of course "here" is of no help to get you out of "there." Still, I'm glad you're back safe and sound.
My first thought was, how beautiful, then I read your caption and choked. It is still beautiful, but would be better if it were just morning fog.

Western Canada still has clean air. Greater Toronto could do with cleaning up its air.
I haven't had the pleasure of Toronto's air, Barbara, but I'd venture it's still healthier than Cairo's.
I sure do appreciate the clean air here.
