"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
In Egypt we went to Kom Ombo to visit a temple. When we walked up to it we had a chance to turn around and see what was happening below.
This plaza is geared for the tourist crowds. The photo makes it look emptier than it was.
Love this. When we arrived in Panama it was dark, and we were driving along a road that had all these markets strung with lights and people you couldn't really see, and smoke from open air cooking . . . it was very magical, my first impression. That is what this reminds me of.
Hilary, these tourist trap shops are on the street level below the temple. I'm glad you like the pic. Many of our temple visits were in the evening in order to get the dramatic effects of the lighting.
Chris, it really adds to the atmosphere of a place, doesn't it?

Love the string of city lights behind it, and it's a great angle.
Excellent shot, cousin. Looks intriguing.
Messymimi, thanks so much.
Thank you, Bag Lady.
It seems like an unlikely spot for a plaza right by the temple but it sure does make a wonderful photo.
