"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
With Autumn so near I thought this would be a good time to remember summer in full flower.
This Giant Hyssop is from our front yard.
Perhaps it's because I'm a Star Trek fan, but it reminds me of the Gorn from the Arena episode.

I am longing for fall here in TX.
:)
Nice photo, Leah. I love a good flower/plant close-up. It's turning slowly into Autumn here.
Have a great weekend!
Beautiful-- Though I do see the gorn resemblance!
Carla, it'll get there.
David, thanks. I like this kind of pic, too. It's always so interesting to see what they really look like.
Thanks, Crabby. I'm so glad I'm not alone, Gorn-wise.
I'm afraid I'm not as much of a Trekkie as you, but it's still a lovely photo!!
Thanks, Bag Lady.
We look forward to the break in the heat, too. It's worth having had the summer, though, for beauty like that.
It sure is, Messymimi.
And Arena was based on a short story by Fredric Brown who is a fave of mine.
Not that you were asking. :)
Great pic, Leah.
David, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Glad you like the pic.
Lovely flower.
It sure is, Reb.
Bee-you-tee-full!
Thank you.
A beautiful bloom. It doesn't look your typical flower...a sort of "out of this world" one for sure.
