Gratitude Monday -- Outlook Good

Athabasca Lookout

Yesterday I wore my favourite jeans for while. Well into the afternoon, in fact. These are my pre-heart condition jeans. I've had them for several years and they're comfy, as comfy as anything can be without Spandex.
This bodes well as it means I've lost a whole whack of water weight that I got when my heart messed up.
Even though I'm still in atrial fibrillation, I am considerably better.
The jeans proved it.
Someday soon I'll be able to wear them after lunch and ever after dinner. For now, I am content that they remained comfortable for as long as they did.
The outlook is good.

This is good news, indeed. Something for all of us to be grateful for!
(and perhaps just a wee bit jealous - I'm still battling the bulge, myself!)

I'm so glad you're feeling better.. the comfy jeans are a bonus. I have a pair of comfy jeans that just stare back at me from the shelf.

That is good news. No better feeling than getting into pre anything jeans!

You've got that right, Reb.

That's great news!

And there's nothing better than an old comfy pair of jeans. That they represent great things about your health--definitely something to feel grateful for!

that's a GREAT gratitude monday.

I spent lots of time yesterday being grateful---it's the flipside (for me) to atoning.

Glad to read the good news, and I hope it continues to get better.

Crabby, thanks. It's good to have them on again, and they're a wonderful psychological marker.

Miz, thank you. I can see how the two are connected.

Messymimi, thank you so much. I'm saying it will.

Leah, you're doing well, which I'm glad to hear. For the water retention, can you drink black tea? If so, it's a natural diuretic that will help you get rid of the water. I take warfarin daily for DVT and have water retention from the 3L daily I have to drink. The black tea gets rid of it all quite nicely. A bonus, the tea is a natural detoxifier.

Recently, I lost some weight and am back into comfy cords. It's a great feeling.

Thank you, Barbara. I enjoy Earl Grey tea in the winter. Now that the weather is cooling I'll be enjoying a few cups.
Yes, black tea is okay. I'm sure you know it's the green tea that's out. I never cared for it anyway so it isn't a problem for me.
Congratulations on the weight loss and the return of the comfy cords.
