Me and My Typos

I'm still resting from my long weekend away so no proper post yet.
Soon.
I promise.
Meanwhile, I must apologize for my typos. My eyes are not what they used to be, and my typing skills never were. No matter how many times I check, something often gets by me.
I am sorry.
I'll try to do better in the future. Maybe I need to take more time, maybe I should have a second cup of coffee before I attempt any responses. Or maybe I should just accept the fact that stuff'll get by me. Mistakes are easier to find after I've hit publish.
I tell myself it's because I have Type O blood and ergo can't help myself, but even I groan at that lame attempt at humour.
I'll post again. And my comments will have the occasional mistake. It's my nature.

Took me a second on the blood pun! (I have Type O too, in both senses).

I read everything over before I publish, and then see numerous typos after I'm done. And most of the time, I just leave 'em, because if I fix one, more will immediately appear.

Thanks for your support, Crabby. You're right. It's like the old saying about if you kill a fly 10 will come to its funeral. My typos are the dead flies of writing.

Wish I had your excuse! (I'm Type A - but that's my blood type, not my personality!)

I totally hear you on the dead flies of writing.... sigh.

Mistakes occur, it's normal, Leah. I make typos when I post the on-line magazine articles I write, but I can fix those. A comment, well personally I don't worry myself too much. It could have been written in haste. My eyes aren't what they used to be, and sometimes I do see things that aren't there normally. Take a deep breath each time you make a comment and see if that clears the fingers and thought processes up.

dfBag Lady - !!!

Barbara - Good point. I'll take more time and relax a bit before I hit publish.

We all make typos, since the lymphoedema, my right hand has slowed down noticeably. Well, at least that is my excuse ;)

And it's a darned good one, Reb.

LOL@ Type O blood -- I am a Type A personality with Type O blood... or is that the other way around? ;)

Seriously, don't worry about typos, but that's easy for me to say, isn't it, since I check and double check and triple check my posts, too, and wind up editing them, oh, about a squillion times after I publish them. Argh! ;)

took me two reads as well...and alas, I can not blame it on lack of sleep :)

Thomma Lyn, glad you enjoyed the pun. I try not to worry about them. I guess as long as everyone knows it's a finger error, then I am okay.

Miz, I always like the puns that take a moment. You've made me happy.

Just me, and my typos...strolling down the avenue.
Thanks, now I'll have that in my head all day!

I call it happy fingers and it's actually a good test to see how sharp your commenters are. If they are sharp, they will detect each typo, unfailingly point them out to you and demonstrate their superior intellect. Eventually they will go read blogs elsewhere.

The rest of us loyal readers will stand by, loving you inspite (okay, for) your typos. Since you are human like us!

Oh, and I missed the space between in and spite "on purpose".

Uh-huh, did so!

Leah J. Utas said...

Thanks, Fifth. As time goes on and fingers and eyesight fails, there'll so much more of me to love.

Aww really, don't sweat whatever you typoed. I just went back to change about a half dozen instances of misspelled "lightning" (I spelled it lightening.. you must have noticed!) on my second to last post. How could someone live as long as I have and do that repeatedly? It must be that "to err is human" thing. Forgive yourself for mere typos. I hear it's divine. ;)
