The fine writers at Women of Mystery have something going on called Two Sentence Tuesday.
I've played once or twice, but put my sentences up over there. Today, for a refreshing change of pace, I thought I'd foul my own nest instead.
Offerings are to include two sentences that I've read over the past week and two I've written.
What I've read:
"Some people, for example, think spirit sounds spooky; they may find consciousness more appealing.
Soul sounds ominous to some; extended self-awareness, though, can convey the same meaning."
-from Edgar Cayce Answers Life's 10 Most Important Questions, by John G. Fuller, Warner Books, 1989.
And my offerings for the past week:
“Arturs, are you sure you should use the word living?”
"It makes my point. And I can be killed therefore I must be alive. Anyway, I’m not going to argue the finer points of my existence. Especially given that you can’t die at all.”
It's a bit more than two, but they go together and I didn't want to break things up.
Thanks for reading.

Writing My Heart Song
“Open a door for someone and you will find the door of heaven opens for you.”
-Merope, one of my guides
-Merope, one of my guides
What makes your heart sing?
Writers need to write what they are passionate about. That’s what shines through in good writing.
Anyone can learn a subject, slosh it around a bit, and then regurgitate. A place for this exists in the world. It’s not a crime, only soulless.
I’ve been going on a bit about the importance of being kind and I will be doing that again shortly. But for today, I’m going to tell you why I’m doing it.
Because it matters.
The only thing that matter is how we treat people. This was underscored over at The Flightless Writer.
Love, caring and kindness are important for the daily reason of getting along with others, but also for the earth changes.
Yes, I’m one of those.
I’m passionate about the earth changes and the unseen, undiscussed world. I care about the paranormal, the preternatural, the preterhuman.
I want to learn about, write about, and experience for myself the unending world within our own subconscious minds and the power and energy inside us that we commonly chose to not use.
We have our reasons. They are individual as well as collective and they are valid. They are, however, not for me.
Ignoring the existence of what we can’t see or measure doesn’t mean it’s not there. We simply haven’t developed a receiver for it yet.
And that brings me to love warriors and the earth changes.
Changes, an ending, something big slated to happen in the world, has been in my mind since I can remember. Perhaps I overhead it or read about. Maybe it’s because we had Fate Magazine in the house and my mom talked about Edgar Cayce. It might be knowledge that I agreed to have with me as part of my pre-birth agreement. Probably all of the above.
My recent posts about love warriors are ultimately about the prophesied changes, how they affect people, and what we can do to help.
My guides have supplied much of the information. Their emphasis is love. They are correct. The information was channeled and often they were speaking as I was writing.
Call it flaky. Dismiss it if you must. Believe it or not as suits your personal comfort level. My guides have whispered to me to write about it and they have yet to steer me wrong. Writing with my guides makes my heart sing.
Love will mitigate the changes. Not stop them, but mitigate them. It will help our spiritual growth, too. What more can we ask?
“Perhaps that is the best way to describe the changes in the human condition following the upheavals,” said my guides.
“It is the coming of the final and complete true enlightenment, when humans see for themselves who they truly are in relation to the world beyond the five senses.”
We can all do our part to ensure these alterations go as smoothly as possible. The simplest way for each of us to have an impact on the world is offer kindness, consideration and compassion to everyone and everything.

Alleviating Asthma With Exercise
I wrote the other day about singing the chakra sounds while I exercise. Why would I do a fool thing like that?
It started out as an experiment to see if it would help my lungs.
I’m somewhat asthmatic. For the past few years I’ve inhaled an Edgar Cayce product each night that staved off most problems, and I've kept away from most of the triggers.
Then I read a newspaper article a year or so about some asthma sufferers who took up playing the tuba or some such and it improved their lung capacity.
The chakra sounds were part of my day already so I decided to do them while exercising just to see what happened.
I noticed the improvement right away. Shortly after I started I went for a real bike ride and was able to talk to my husband while peddling.
Last spring I stopped using the product routinely. It’s been nearly a year and I’ve only needed it twice.
I’m grateful that I’ve got it, but I’m even more grateful that I rarely need it.

First Step On The Spiritual Path
Scribbler’s comment on the post below this one below made me think about what it’s like when you take your first steps on a spiritual path.
Where do you start?
It can be overwhelming. There’s so much information available in books, on websites, in blogs, from friends and acquaintances. It seems everyone knows exactly what you need to do achieve spiritual fulfillment.
Only you know exactly what you should do. But that brings up another issue: how do you find it out?
The simplest way to go is to honor yourself. Pay attention to your thoughts and feelings about situations and people.
Have you got a new interest? Are you being pulled in a direction i.e. for studying or travel?
Do you feel a need to avoid a place, a person, or even a type of food?
These are all nudges from the spirit side. It might be you a guide, it can be hint of a past life, but it can also be your own intuition.
This “still, small voice” as Edgar Cayce termed it, nudges you along the path you need to follow and acts as an early warning system to keep you out of the trouble.
We get this nudges and warnings all the time. We can ignore them if we want, but if you’re looking for a simple way to start down your path, honoring your own inner voice is a good first step.
Thanks to Scribbler for the post idea.
