In Protest

It's finally here.
It's been snowing and it's all very fluffy and wonderful.
The temperatures are cold and normal and all is right with the world. It makes me happy.
There'll be other times for pictures of snow and cold.
Today, as a gesture of protest against the icy oppression of normality, I give you the above.
It's another peek at Abraham Lake from out west of Rocky about a half-hour from the Banff National Park gate.

thank you. thank you. soooo calming to a woman who has been up since 4a with a wriggle toddler who steadfastly refuses to sleep.

I always know I can count on you (feel like pressure? :)).

Gorgeous picture! How long does the snowy normality last in your part of the world?

Lovely photo, cousin, thanks!

I vaguely remember green grass. It took to snowing here, too, a couple days ago and hasn't stopped yet.
~~sigh~~

I know it's normal, but that doesn't mean I have to like it!

MizFit, you are more than welcome. Pressure? Ha!

Tokaiangel, thanks so much. The snow used to last, way back when, from Octoberish to around May. Now it's December or so until March or April or May. Or it goes and comes back with snow days in May.

dfBag Lady, thanks. I thought you might need a refresher. I thought of you when I posted.

No one should be allowed to live in an area as beautiful as this. OR you at least should be cleared well in advance that you have the ability to walk on water.

Fantastic photo

Thanks so much, Tom. You make a valid point about leaving beauty unspoiled by the hand of man.

df Leah,

Just beautiful. Thanks. In honor of this picture I am going to take a long walk in the park tommorrow, while there is still some green. (Too late today--company is coming in about twenty minutes.)

NeverSayDiet, it may not be ideal. I hope you can find something about it to enjoy.

Thanks, Reb. Reminders are good.

dfTerrie, thanks. Enjoy your walk.
