Springtime In The Rockies

This is the high point of the hike to Siffleur Falls looking back through the valley.
We've had so much snow and bitter cold I felt the need to be reminded that it's spring and warm temperatures will return. New life will come with it.

Hilary, I am very fortunate to live where I do and be healthy enough to get out and enjoy it.
It's my pleasure to post these photos. I am glad you are enjoying them.

Lovely photo Leah. I think we all need a reminder that it is spring.

Bunnygirl, it is a beautiful scene. It never ceases to amaze me that this is part of our county and it's my (distant) back yard.

Reb, thanks. I know I sure needed a reminder.

dfLeah - thanks for the lovely photo - helped to lift my spirits. Of course, what would help most would be for spring to actually arrive...

Glad to give you a lift. Spring is here, dfBag Lady, it's just being a little shy right now.

Wow, that is a beautiful photo! The Rockies are just gorgeous -- I was out West, in Wyoming, when I was just nine years old, but I've never forgotten it.

I love our Appalachian mountains; the Rockies are the young upstarts while the Appalachians are the venerable elders. Love them both! :)

Thanks, Thomma Lyn. The Rockies make quite an impression.
I haven't seen your Appalachians in person yet.
