Chippy

Some days we just need to see cute.

We saw this chipmunk along the boardwalk on the shore of Lake Louise. He was busily chewing away on a discarded bit of photographic film.
It bothers me to see wild animals feasting on our garbage. We shouldn't be randomly discarding anything.
There's proper food out there for all critters. Oh, well. Maybe the poor thing thought he could get some colloidal silver out of it.

Oh, Chippy is cute! I agree about not leaving our garbage for them to eat, it is just as easy to put something in your pocket until you find a bin. I even do that with ciggy butts now.

Good for you, Reb. I wish more of us did that.
Mike figured he must have been the Greeter Chippy as he posed readily after running around a bit to draw attention.

Aw, too cute!
All I ever see around here are squirrels. I know there are chipmunks closer to the river, but we don't see them here.
I find it distressing that the poor critters of the world have to put up with our garbage. Everyone is on the environmental bandwagon when it comes to carbon emissions, but the everyday stuff doesn't twig with them. ~~sigh~~

dfBag Lady, carbon emissions are a Big Deal that make us Feel Important. Picking up litter maybe a little. Discarding crap on the ground really doesn't touch us. Sad. For as cute as it was I couldn't help but feel pang knowing Chippy was eating film.

Sad, yes but he's a bright little critter and wouldn't munch on something without nutritional value for no reason. I'm guessing he's looking for the "cheese" that everyone is saying in the photo film. ;)

Hello Hilary. Yeah, maybe that's it.

Hey TL, thanks. It's all we can do not to adopt Chippy.
