"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy."
-Hamlet, Act One, Scene Five
This above all: to thine ownself be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” - (again with the Hamlet)
Bit of background: I had a friend who sold Mary Kay Cosmetics. Would I mind posing for her so she could show potential clients the potential in her product? Another friend took the pictures with my Nikon. I'm very pleased with them.

Um, yes.
does this even count? nary a giggle nor a chortle up in herre.
I remember those pictures! I think you gave me one. I treasure it because it's the only time I can recall seeing you wearing makeup! And you looked mahvelous, dahling!
No it doesn't count! You look great!! hehehe I remember Mary Kay in the 80s - wasn't this the make up you had to mix with water before you put it on? Or am I old and confused?
Tricia, thanks so much. Missicat, the alternates were a bit, umm, well, y'know the Intrawebz is forever.... Mary Kay wasn't the one that required mixing. That's waaaaay too much work for me.

Thanks, Mizfit. I wish I looked like that today, too. Except I really don't care for makeup.
dfBag Lady, thanks. I was never very comfortable in makeup although I did wear if for a time. I'm glad I posed for my friend.
You look so pretty!

Nice pictures! I remember those hair days! :)
Thanks, Mark. Ah, hair. Mine used to look quite red from time to time depending on clothing and background.
Oh, I love those photos Leah! You look like a starlette.
Thanks, Reb. I took the posing quite seriously.
I agree with Reb, you look beautiful, like a starlet! Like a classic 1940s femme fatale. I see no 80s here! Must try harder :0)
TA x
TA - What a wonderful way to put it. Thank you so much.
wow! look at you, you 1980's hottie! I've never been so fortunate.
Wow Leah, what a fresh, pretty woman. And I agree with the above, you are timeless. As Billy Crystal would've said in the '80s, "You Look Mahveluzz."
FC, I've never been called a hottie. Thanks.
Polly, what wonderful compliments. Thanks so much.
Wowie, I agree with Reb -- you look like a starlet! :)
Thanks, TL. It was quite a bit of fun.
Wow.
ALMOST enough to rethink my "no makeup for me, ever" stance. You look so glamorous!
But then a lot of that is bone structure--even back in the 80's, coated with makeup, I wouldn't have looked so pretty. Thanks for sharing those!
Thanks so much, Crabby. I enjoyed posing for my friend.
